	Pass Summary:
	Station equipment problem (exciter) led to the SSR safing bins not
getting verified. When the problem was resolved, there wasn't enough time
in the scheduled pass to complete all the commanding activities.
	Additional pass time was granted and the spacecraft was configured
nominally.

	Experienced chronic problems with station 16. Exciter failed twice
(see anomaly reports G98-107 and G98-108).The first occured at AOS. Second
failure, because it came so late in the pass, prevented commanding for
end-of-day activities.
	LOS TT bin fired and s/c went to low rate. Shortly thereafter
station lost lock because antenna would not track/slew (see anomaly report
G98-109). Secured an extension on the pass.

	Pass Summary:
	BOT was scheduled at 1400 but tlm was not received until 1445. D16
was notified at BOT that no tlm was coming into the MOC. The MOC was told
to standby. No information was given to the MOC despite several attempts to
recieve a status of the problem.
	At BOT+ 40 minutes, the MOC notified the IPNOC. The IPNOC rebooted
the fanout and data was received. The time tag bin to switch back to low
rate was cleared and normal operations proceeded. No DR was written because
there was no problem at the station.
	There is some concern however as to the amount of time that went by
without the station notifying the MOC with a status as to whether or not
there was a problem at the station.
	The MOC attempted to contact the OPS CHIEF but after several
attempts with no response, normal operations were persued.
	Weekly SWEPAM calibrations were performed. Commanded to S3DPU
covered by OCR S3D-002.
	The remainder of the SSR will be dumped during the next pass.

	JPL Ops chief requested that MOC agree to have station put
aggregate data into record mode. This resulted in the temporary loss of
VC2. Ops chief advised station to issue a "vc all" TSO command to the
TGC's.
	This then put the aggregate data into record while allowing VC2 to
flow. Station refused to issue a DR#. Reason given was that the data lost
was on CDR.
