ACE Weekly Report: 08-30-00

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An Attitude
maneuver was successfully executed on 08-29-00. The next attitude
maneuver is scheduled for 09-08-00.

On 08-27-00 Station 24's transmitter was 'Red' at the scheduled BOT.
After ~36 minutes the technical problems had been resolved. The
support continued without any additional problems. All SSR data was
captured during the support (AR# G00-0045).

On 08-29-00 ACE suffered ~2 minute data lost due to expired predicts
at the site. The station reentered the predicts, re-swept the uplink
and successfully acquired the S/C. There was no impact to SSR
activities (DR# G06275).

The Stationkeeping maneuver originally scheduled for August 29th was
postponed one day until August 30th. FDF original estimations for
the size of the burn turned out to be too conservative; final
projections for fuel usage was 630 grams. This exceeded the
constraint for both SWICS and SWIMS (500 grams). Arrangements were
made with the Instrumenters to re-configure their instruments during
the support, prior to the maneuver on 08-30-00. The maneuver was
successfully executed and SWICS and SWIMS were returned to their
nominal configuration prior to the scheduled EOT on 08-30-00.
