ACE Weekly Report 12/1/00 All ACE spacecraft systems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was performed successfully on 11/28/00. Upcoming attitude maneuvers are scheduled for 12/5/00 and 12/12/00. Maneuver Information: Maneuver Start Time=18:01:28 Maneuver End Time=18:07:41 Pre-maneuvers: HGA = 2.8436 deg. Sun Angle = 7.8478 deg. Post-maneuvers: HGA = 4.3665 deg. Sun Angle = 14.460 deg. Current S/C range: 1,460,539 km On 11/28/00 only three TPOCC processes started up. This has happened a few times now and the workaround is to log off the workstation and log back in. Analysis is on-going. DR#G06539 generated for dropout while station fixed glitch with Doppler equipment. On 11/29/00 conducted SEPICA instrument commanding: OCR SEP-085 was executed to monitor the 30kV supply as it was increased from 2.2kV to 2.6kV and then decreased to 0kV. This data will be compared to the spare instrument in the laboratory to diagnose the recent problems with the 30kV supply. On 11/30/00 conducted CRIS instrument commanding: OCR CRIS-011 was executed to turn on the image intensifier and set the gain. The image intensifier tends to reset following increased solar activity (this is normal and expected). The image intensifier was commanded on but it turns out that it had not reset following solar activity on 11/26/00 (the instrument team observed bad frames of data indicating the image intensifier was off). There was no impact from commanding it on while already on. The gain however, was set to the appropriate value.
