ACE Weekly Report: 12-20-00 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was successfully executed on 12-12-00. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 12-21-00. Maneuver 1 Start Time=18:43:27 Maneuver 1 End Time=18:46:42 Pre-Maneuver HGA = -3.4512 deg. Sun Angle = 6.3293 deg. Post-Maneuver HGA = 4.5 deg. Sun Angle = 13.7 deg. Current S/C range: 1,487414.754 km The ACE FOT performed preliminary tests with DSN's Uplink Command system (UPL) on 12-14-00. UPL is slated for future use with DSN's 34m antennas. Tests were conducted with Madrid's D54 and Canberra's D34. The tests were conducted in 'loopback' mode; there was no uplink to the spacecraft. A total of 166 commands were sent to each station; command echoes were successfully received in the MOC. The FOT continues to analyze data and is in the process of bit-busting commands for further verification. ================================================ Jacqueline Maldonado Snell Honeywell Technology Solutions Incorporated (HTSI) Goddard Space Flight Center Bldg. 3 Rm N135C, Code 428.2 Greenbelt, MD 20771 Phone: (301) 286-7072 Fax: (301) 286-0218 E-mail: Jacqueline.Snell.1@gsfc.nasa.gov
