ACE Weekly Report: 07-25-01

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally.
Maneuver operations were performed on days 204/2001
and 205/2001. Two attitude maneuvers and three Z-axis
Control maneuvers were successfully executed on 07-24-01.
An attitude maneuver and a StationKeeping maneuver were
performed on 07-25-01. The next attitude maneuver is
scheduled for 08-07-01.

In preparation for the upcoming Z-axis Control burns on 07-24-01,
several instruments ramped down their high voltage power supplies.
SWICS, SWIMS, SWEPAM-E, and SWEPAM-I were ramped down on 07-23-01.

On 07-24-01 the S/C was reconfigured from the HGA to the -Z
Broadbeam antenna. Five maneuvers were performed during the
~ 12 hour support: 2 Attitude Reorientations and 3 Lissajous
Z Axis Control burns. The final attitude reorientation maneuver
returned the spacecraft to within mission HGA constraints. This
allowed the S/C to be reconfigured from the -Z Broadbeam to the
HGA prior to the scheduled EOT.

On 07-25-01 the remaining Z-axis Control activities were
completed during the ~7 hour support. An attitude Maneuver
and a StationKeeping Maneuver were executed. All science
data was recovered and SSR operations were returned to their
nominal configuration during this support. Instrument ramp
ups will be performed during the next support on 07-26-01.

Three OCRs (SEP-092, SEP-093 and SEP-094) were executed for
the SEPICA instrument on 07-20-01. The 30 kV power supply
has not been raised since 07-12-01; when its set point was
raised to 3.6 kV.

OCR ULEIS-061 was executed on 07-23-01 to place the instrument's
shutter in autonomous mode. This will allow the instrument to
regulate the position of the shutter based on incoming particle rates.

Anomalies
7-25-01 AR# G01-0060 - Approximate 8 minute telemetry drop out
due to INIF in panic mode. The IP NOC was contacted and software
restarted. Affected SSR slices were redumped. No further problems
experienced with INIF during the support.
