ACE Weekly Report 10-10-01 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was performed on 10/08/01. The next attitude maneuvers are scheduled for 10/12/01 and 10/18/01. String 2 has been relocated to Building 14, Room W10F. FOT Checkout began on Tuesday, October 2nd and is scheduled to be completed October 12th. OCR CRIS-011 was executed on 10-04-01 to turn on the Image Intensifier following recent solar activity. This OCR had also been executed on 10-01-01 OCR SEP-098 was executed on 10-04-01 to complete the allocation of spare SEPICA memory for data processing. This process had been started with the execution of OCR SEP-097 on 10-03-01. The support on 10-08-01 was terminated 45 minutes early to accommodate an urgent SOHO request. Once all ACE activities were completed nominally, Station 27 was released. OCR ULEIS-050 and ULEIS-065 were executed as part of recovery operations on 10-10-01 (DOY 283). The ULEIS instrument had been powered off at 282/17:27:31 due to the execution of an incorrect procedure by the FOT. Recovery activities occurred during two supports on 10-10-01 and the instrument was returned to its pre-anomaly state at 283/22:05:57. A Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigation of the incident is ongoing. Anomalies: S01-0008 10/09/01 An incorrect procedure was run, causing the ULEIS instrument to be powered OFF at 282/17:27:31. The instrument PI was immediately notified and preferred to wait until the following day to commence recovery operations. G01-0106 10/05/01 Slightly degraded data was received during D66 support. Station informed MOC that erratic data was being passed on by MFR1/channel 1. TGC channels were swapped and data quality improved (DR# M100187). G01-0108 10/07/01 Station D66 was declared 'Red'. Station D24 was available and the day's support was rescheduled for later that day. NOAA notified of change to the real time support (DR# M100191, M100192, M100193). G01-0109 10/08/01 ~6 minute telemetry dropout during support with Station D27. Station informed MOC that telemetry was leaving station and would check with SPC. Telemetry as well as monitor data returned and no further problems experienced during the support. G01-0110 10/10/01 MOC experienced a telemetry dropout following the transmission of the first command. Station notified and command parameters were re-entered. Command capability was delayed ~20 minutes. No further command problems experienced during the support (DR# M100196). G01-0112 10/10/01 Goddard Voice inadvertently disabled all MOC phone lines while performing maintenance on one of the lines. Goddard Voice notified and phone line connectivity re-established shortly thereafter. FOT had been talking with the ULEIS Instrumenter performing recovery operations when outage occurred. ULEIS Instrumenter notified via office phone and activities delayed until phone line connectivity had been re-established.
