ACE Weekly Report (04/26/02 05/02/02)

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. The next attitude
maneuver is scheduled for 05/06/02.

OCR SEP-101 was executed on 05/01/02 to raise the 30kV from 0 to 4.04kV
while the engineering mode patch is being tested.

Effective 05/01/02, the ACE FOT is no longer generating or delivering the
ASC products (MUX and QLK) or the daily metrics report, per concurrence
from CSOC management regarding Bob Sodano's recent memo, "Discontinuance of
ACE Flight Ops Team (FOT) Responsibilities concerning ACE Science Center
(ASC) Data Processing , Data Distribution, and Associated Metrics." The
impact to our current operations is minimal since DPS products will still
be generated for FOT use.

An engineering test is in progress to determine a new HGA constraint. The
current constraint is 5.5 degrees. The constraint was increased on 26
April, as part of a several step process that will occur over the next two
months with the maximum constraint being reached by late June, when the
spacecraft will be at its maximum range. This approach allows the
spacecraft to drift until the new constraint is violated, at which time an
attitude maneuver is executed.

Date: HGA reached prior to Attitude Maneuver (degrees):

03/28/02 ~4.8
04/04/02 ~4.8
04/11/01 ~5.1
04/18/02 ~5.2
04/26/02 ~5.6
05/06/02 ~5.8 (expected)

Analysis is ongoing, though no degradation in signal strength has been seen.

Anomalies:
04/29/02 DOY 119 MOC experienced slightly degraded telemetry during D27
support. Station reported degradation due to possible RFI. No redumps
required. (DR#G101087)
