ACE Weekly 10/04/02 - 10/10/02

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude
maneuver was executed this week with no problems to report. The next
attitude maneuver is scheduled for 10/11/02.

OCRs Executed:

NONE

Ongoing Activities:

The HGA Angle Constraint Report is being reviewed and will be released in
the near future.

A NSP PIT was conducted on DOY 281. The only problem noticed during
analysis was that the Ground Receipt Time (GRT) was off by approximately
one year in the 498 bps data rate.

Anomalies:

Day 02277 (10/4/2002) ACE Anomaly #S02-0023 Limit Violations
Between 13:22:35 and 13:22:42 there were 3 yellow low limit violations
(YL=10C). At 13:22:35 INT_LINES_A_T violated at 9.6472 C, then returned to
10.27465 C at 13:22:49. At 13:22:39 TANK_A2_T violated at 9.6472 C, then
returned to 10.9021 C at 13:22:47. At 13:22:42 TANK_B1_T violated at 9.6472
C, then returned to 12.157 C at 13:22:47. This has happened before.
Reference AR S02-0003. Investigation continues.

Day 02277 (10/4/2002) ACE Anomaly #G02-0113 GDS(DSS-66) Telemetry Dropout
At 15:01:38 we lost telemetry and it came back online at 15:03:17. DSS-66
doesn't know what caused the problem. All their systems were not touched
and everything was working nominally. IMPACT: None, all data was recovered.

Day 02277 (10/4/2002) ACE Anomaly #G02-0114 TPOCC - EQUATE errors in G_ACEUP
There were problems bringing up String 2 as the backup for the maneuver.
The first 2 times it was brought up, procedure G_ACEUP halted at line 168:
Dir err: EQUATE state manager is not connected to equation controller.
The third time, G_ACEUP succeeded through line 168 (EQUATE ON ALL)
but started generating error messages. The ACE software was killed on all
workstations. FORMATS was exited and everything on string 2 was logged off.
The 4th attempt to bring up string 2 was a success, with no
errors. IMPACT: None.

DOY 02282 (10/09/02) ACE Anomaly #G02-0115 GDS(DSS-27) MTA Interface Problem
During prepass briefing, Station 27 stated they were having troubles getting
an interface with the Metric Tracking Assembly (MTA). During postpass
debrief, Station 27 stated that there was no tracking data during the entire
pass, except for seven minutes. IMPACT: Minimal ranging data. DR#G101681.

DOY 02283 (10/10/2002) - ACE Anomaly Report #G02-0116 GDS(DSS-27) MTA
Interface Problem
AT 17:50 DSS-27 stated they were having troubles keeping the interface with
the Metric Tracking Assembly (MTA). IMPACT: Minimal ranging data. DR#G101684.
