ACE Weekly 10/11/02 - 10/17/02 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. A "dog-leg" attitude maneuver was executed this week with no problems to report. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 10/21/02. ============================================================================ OCRs Executed: NONE ============================================================================ Ongoing Activities: The HGA Angle Constraint Report is being reviewed and will be released in the near future. Two 26M demo tests with DSN were performed this week. Only minor problems were noted and analysis is ongoing. ============================================================================ Anomalies: Day 02284 (10/11/2002) ACE Anomaly #G02-0117 GDS(DSS-16) Exciter/MPA Problem Exciter and Metric Pointing Assembly (MPA) problems delayed commanding approximately 51 minutes and forced the FOT to request a station change from GDS(DSS-16) to GDS(DSS-27). IMPACT: None. GDS(DSS-27) was able to support for the full 3.5 hour pass and the "dog-leg" maneuver was executed with no problems. DR#G101689 DOY 02287 (10/14/2002) ACE Anomaly #G02-0118 GDS(DSS-27) Exciter Problem GDS(DSS-27) tried to bring carrier up but had problems locking onto the spacecraft receivers. Carrier finally brought up 50 minutes after the scheduled BOT. GDS(DSS-27) reported problems with the exciter which ultimately caused the delay in carrier up. IMPACT: None. All data was recovered.
