All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was performed successfully on 12/19/02. ACE is scheduled for another NSP demo with DSS-24 on 12/20/2002. The FOT will test if commanding and telemetry problems have been resolved. Regarding 0158 monitor data, JPL found that the SFG is corrupting the data when the size exceeds 2000 bytes. They have informed us that they are hoping to have it resolved by 12/20/2002. The clock calibration software update has been installed on string 3 and will be tested before installing on strings 1 and 2. This update increases the precision of the SLOPE-1 value delivered in the clock calibration report. SGT development of the TAPS software continues. Test and verification are on hold pending delivery. The FOT is continuing to work with Automation to verify offline processes, update the HS&M module and review paging messages. The Command and Control module has not yet been transitioned to FOT for test and verification. ============================================================================ OCRs Executed: NONE ============================================================================ Anomalies: This week has had more than the usual number of anomalies. Two of note are the consistent telemetry outages(#G02-0135) and the precal test command transmission(#G02-0138). 12/13/2002 DOY 347 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0134 -- Unable to connect to new fanout. After the move and reboot of the new fanout (DOY 346), the MOC front ends were unable to connect to the fanout. The routing tables on the front ends were updated to use the tlan gateways. Unknown what temporary fix had been implemented that had allowed the front ends to connect through the previously used gateways. 12/13/2002 DOY 347 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0135 -- Consistent telemetry outages from new fanout. For the past week (since the reboot of the fanout), the GSFC network has been dropping telemetry for about 2 minutes at 1hr 8min intervals. By DOY 354, IPNoc had isolated the problem to an ethernet switch at Goddard using the IGMP (Group Management Protocol) Proxy to direct network traffic. IPNoc resolved the problem. 12/14/2002 DOY 348 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0136 -- 22 minute delay in commanding with DSS-66. DR# M101220 Commanding delayed due to problems with the S-Band Exciter#1 and switching to S-Band Exciter#2. 12/15/2002 DOY 349 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0137 -- 10 minute delay in commanding with DSS-66. DR# M101224 Commanding delayed due to problems with the CMA/CPA. DSS-66 swapped the CMA/CPA. 12/15/2002 DOY 349 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0138 -- DSS-66 transmitted precal test command. DR# N100711 Precal test commands are not to be transmitted. The command was transmitted during the CMA/CPA swap (see previous anomaly). The test command had the incorrect Frame Sequence Number. Fortunately, this did not lock out commanding, but instead only flagged command failures on the spacecraft. 12/17/2002 DOY 351 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0139 -- 25 minute telemetry outage with DSS-27. DR# G102050 Telemetry out due to problems with the APC. Playback data was redumped. 12/19/2002 DOY 353 -- ACE Anomaly #G02-0140 -- DSS-66 red and unable to support the pass. DR# M101246 X axis Prime Mover electrical motor burnt out. Another pass was scheduled with DSS-27. Attitude maneuver postponed to later in the day.
