ACE Weekly 12/27/02 - 01/02/03 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. No attitude maneuver was performed this week. The next maneuver is scheduled for 01/09/03. ============================================================================ OCRs Executed: NONE ============================================================================ Ongoing Activities: Trending, Analysis and Plotting System (TAPS) development continues. VC2/VC4 processing problems continue. TAPS #1 has been turned over to development to troubleshoot the problem. TAPS #2 is to be loaded with TAPS 4.0.4 to allow testing on other areas to continue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The HGA Angle Constraint Report is undergoing final revision. ============================================================================ Anomalies: DOY 02361 (12/27/2002)-ACE Anomaly #G02-0141 TPOCC Erroneous Limit Messages TPOCC generated a 2nd red low limit message for SSS2KAV and SSS2KBV without an intervening "return within limits" message. At 16:13:58 SSS2KBV entered the red low limit at a value of 0.0588. Then at 16:15:49 SSS2KAV entered the red low limit at a value of 0. Both of these mnemonics had already entered the low limit at a value of 0 at 15:27:22 when the downlink format changed to science. These erroneous messages also occurred on Day 02341. IMPACT: None. SSS2KAV and SSS2KBV have been verified to be at 0V. DOY 02363 (12/29/2002)-ACE Anomaly #G02-0142 GDS(DSS-66) CPA Swap/Loss of TLM DSS-66 had problems with an exciter which caused a delay in commanding for 8 minutes. Then they encountered problems with CPA 4. DSS-66 swapped the CPA and the problem was corrected. IMPACT: None. Commanding was delayed but all pass objectives were accomplished. DR#M101267 DOY 02365 (12/31/2002)-ACE Anomaly #S02-0031 INT_LINES_A_T YL Limit Violation At 18:10:44 INT_LINES_A_T violated yellow limit (10) with a value of 9.6472. At 18:10:59 INT_LINES_A_T returned to within limits. This has occurred before. Reference AR S02-0024. The FOT is still investigating this. It does not look like a temperature fluctuation, but more like something with the temperature sensor. IMPACT: Unknown at this time. DOY 03001 (01/01/2003)-ACE Anomaly #G03-0001 GDS(DSS-66) TGC Reboot At 12:15, DSS-66 called to see if telemetry was online. At that time there was no telemetry online at the MOC. DSS-66 said they would look into the problem. At 12:20, DSS-66 said they saw telemetry leaving the station. JPL Comm also saw telemetry coming from the station. Contacted IPNOCC, they only saw data incrementing on the Command Echo or Monitor data. DSS-66 then performed a hardware reset on the Telemetry Group Controller (TGC). Telemetry was online at 12:28. IMPACT: None. All data recovered during pass. DR#M101274 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glen A. Miller Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc.
