ACE Weekly 01/03/02 - 01/09/03

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude
maneuver was performed on 01/09/03. The next maneuver is scheduled for
01/24/03.

Ongoing Activities:

Trending, Analysis and Plotting System (TAPS) development continues.
VC2/VC4 processing problems may have been solved, FOT is monitoring. TAPS
#2 has been loaded with TAPS 4.0.5 to allow testing on other areas to
continue until the VC2/VC4 problem is resolved on TAPS #1.

The HGA Angle Constraint Report will be released next week.

Anomalies:

DOY 03004 (1/4/2003) #G03-0002 GDS(DSS-66) DSN - Router problems
There were two telemetry dropouts during the pass:
Dropout TLM offline Mon Blocks offline TLM online Mon Blocks online
#1 13:06:26 13:06:38 13:24:06 13:24:12
#2 13:25:42 13:25:53 13:27:43 13:27:46
Contacted DSS-66, they said they saw telemetry leaving the station. Then
contacted IPNOCC, they said they saw no data coming in. Then contacted
JPLComm, they said thay saw that the lines were down from DSS-66. After
telemetry came back online after the first dropout, JPLComm stated that
Madrid was having router problems. JPLComm also stated that the router
would need to be reset. IMPACT: None. All data recovered. DR#M101279.

DOY 03006 (1/6/2003) #G03-0003 GDS(DSS-66) Antenna Autotrack Failed
At the beginning of the pass the VCO's were fluctuating. DSS-66 performed 2
resweeps and tuned their equipment. IMPACT: NONE. Commanding was delayed
by 14 minutes. All pass objectives met. DR#M101285.

DOY 03007 (1/7/2003) #S03-0002 SIS_M2BMATRIXBRD,SIS_M1AMATRIXBRD YH Limit
Violations
SIS_M2BMATRIXBRD and SIS_M1AMATRIXBRD have both violated the YH limit value
of 37.0C. SIS_M2BMATRIXBRD first violated the limit on DOY 03003 at
17:42:04 at a value of 37.064C, and then on DOY 03007 at a value of 37.26C.
SIS_M1AMATRIXBRD violated the limit on DOY 03005 at 03:11:40 at a value of
37.064C. Limits again violated on DOY 03007. Notified Branislav Kecman and
he sent an email requesting the limit threshold be changed for both
mnemonics. IMPACT: NONE. Limits changed per PI request.

DOY 03007 (1/7/2003) - Mnemonic SSS75I violated the YL limit 8 times at
9.8mA. Notified M. Popecki and he has submitted a request for the FOT to
change the YL limit to 9.5mA. IMPACT: NONE. Limit will be changed per PI
Request.
