ACE Weekly 06/25/04 - 07/01/04 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was successfully executed on 06/25/04. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 07/09/04. ============================================================================ Orbit Events: The next ACE SEV transit will occur in the mid-Aug to early Sep '04 timeframe. ===================================================================== OCRs Executed: NONE ===================================================================== Ongoing Activities: TAPS: - Transition from GTAS to TAPS occurred on 03/18/04. All trending activities are being accomplished using TAPS. - Installation of TAPS release 4.3 is tentatively scheduled for 07/19/04. All open DRs will be fixed in this release. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automation (ROBOTT): - Release 0.7 has been delivered to String 3 and undergoing test at this time. -- FOT testing almost completed. -- Installation on String 2 tentatively scheduled for 07/12/04. -- Installation on String 1 tentatively scheduled for 07/29/04. - SUG development is ongoing. A DRAFT version has been delivered and comments have been provided to the developer. - FOT training on ROBOTT began 05/05/04 and additional sessions are being developed. ============================================================================ Extra Spacecraft Activities: None ===================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 04180 (6/28/2004) ACE Anomaly G04-0059 - MAD 26m (DSS-66) Wrong Command Mod Index Tried to send the /no_op command before g_initial_contact. The command never verified. Queried the station and it was found they had the wrong command mod index set, 0.4 vice 0.86. IMPACT: Temporary inability to command spacecraft. Delayed pass activities. DR# M102571 DOY 04182 (6/30/2004) ACE Anomaly G04-0060 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) RNS Problems At 14:43:20 telemetry dropped out. DSS-16 said they were still seeing telemetry leaving the station. JPL Comm reported that the RNS was down. At 15:01:26 telemetry back online. IMPACT: Delayed pass activities. All telemetry was recovered. DR# G104568 DOY 04183 (7/01/2004) ACE Anomaly G04-0061 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) Y-Axis Failed Y-Axis Hydraulics went to brake at 1450Z. Station re-enabled the Y-Axis Hydraulics. IMPACT: Delayed pass activities. All telemetry was recovered. DR# G104578 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glen A.
