ACE Weekly 10/08/04 - 10/14/04 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. An attitude maneuver was successfully executed on 10/08/04. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 10/21/04. ============================================================================ Orbit Events: The next SEZ crossing will occur in the Nov-Dec time frame. ===================================================================== OCRs Executed: None ===================================================================== Ongoing Activities: TAPS: - TAPS Release 4.3 was installed on the Prime System on 10/13/04. -- FOT regression testing is in progress. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automation (ROBOTT): - ROBOTTv0.9 delivered to String 1 on 09/27/03 (OCR GND_145). -- Performing operations in "Auto" mode on String 1. -- 13 DR fixes in this release. --- 12 DRs have been verified by the FOT to date. --- The last DR to be verified will require ROBOTT to be observed over a period of time to ensure no reoccurrence of the problem. -- 8 DRs have been written against this release. ============================================================================ Extra Spacecraft Activities: None ===================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 04282 (10/08/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0117 - MAD 26m (DSS-66) Late AOS At BOT (13:00) DSS-66 did not have telemetry online to the MOC. At 13:02 DSS-66 informed FOT that they would be 10 minutes late in bringing the antenna up. At 13:09:20 DSS-66 put telemetry online to the FOT. IMPACT: BOT was delayed by 9 min 20 sec. Delayed pass activities. DR# M102784 DOY 04283 (10/09/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0118 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) Command Problems First command sent to the S/C didn't reach it due to command mod index problem at station. Station executed workaround noted in CAD-MON-MCP-416 and command capability was restored. IMPACT: No command capability for 3min 35sec. DR# G104864 DOY 04284 (10/10/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0119 - Data Spikes in TAPS Report Data spikes were seen in the Daily Activity report. The TAPS decommutation process is skipping a packet that is partially located at the end of the chunk which is read from the data file. There is a problem with parsing data in that partial packet for mnemonics that have a byte offset between 642 and 645. IMPACT: Reports utilizing that particular data will be suspect.
