ACE Weekly 10/29/04 - 11/04/04 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. No maneuvers executed this reporting period. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for 11/05/04. ============================================================================ Orbit Events: Next SEZ transit will run from 11/14/04 to 12/09/04. - Minimum SEV angle of approximately 0.83 deg. Minimum SEV angles of 2005 transits will be greater with each event. ===================================================================== OCRs Executed: DOY 04308 (11/03/04) - ULEIS-072 - Memory Dump of PHA Priority Look-up Tables ===================================================================== Ongoing Activities: TAPS: - TAPS Release 4.3 was installed on the Prime System on 10/13/04. -- FOT regression testing is in progress. --- No problems to report. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automation (ROBOTT): - ROBOTTv0.9 delivered to String 1 on 09/27/03 (OCR GND_145). -- Performing operations in "Auto" mode on String 1. -- 13 DR fixes in this release. --- 12 DRs have been verified by the FOT to date. --- The last DR to be verified will require ROBOTT to be observed over a period of time to ensure no reoccurrence of the problem. -- 13 DRs have been written against this release. - Lights-out testing of the ROBOTT system without immediate FOT intervention continues. - ROBOTT ORR held 11/04/04. ============================================================================ Extra Spacecraft Activities: None ===================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 04304 (10/30/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0126 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) Exciter Problem DSS-16 was unable to provide an uplink at the scheduled time due to SBE-1 (S-Band Exciter 1) not sweeping as expected. IMPACT: 27 minute delay in daily activities. Data loss of 37min 10sec of VC4 data (Playback). DR# G104940 DOY 04304 (10/30/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0127 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) - MFR1 Malfunction At 18:44, the station reported the ATS1 would not hold steady lock anymore. The FOT noticed several telemetry dropouts as a result between 18:44 - 18:50. The station switched to PGM track and RCVR's returned to solid lock. IMPACT: Delayed pass activities. 6 minute telemetry outage. DR# G104942 DOY 04305 (10/31/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0128 - GDS 26m (DSS-16) Exciter Problem DSS-16 had problems acquiring the S/C after attempting two uplink sweeps and resetting the SBE. Operator switched to SBE2 and acquired the S/C. IMPACT: Delayed pass activities. DR# G104944 DOY 04307 (11/02/04) ACE Anomaly G04-0129 - GDS 34m (DSS-27) Telemetry Processor Problem After receiving pages from Automation stating no telemetry was being received at the MOC, the FOT called the Ops Chief and notified him of the problem. DSS-27 configured second DCC/TLP (DCC11) to CE and telemetry resumed. IMPACT: No telemetry online for 37 minutes. All data subsequently retrieved via SSR.
