Orbit/Attitude:

No attitude maneuvers were completed this week.  The next attitude maneuver
is scheduled for Thursday 10/27/05.

Ongoing Activities:

Space Link Extension (SLE) - ACE Space Link Extension (SLE) development has
been moved up in priority; less than one month development is estimated for
completion.  The next DTF-21 Developer tests are tentatively scheduled for
11/09/05 and 11/16/05.

RIONet - String 3 is anticipated to move to the RIonet within a month.

Extra Activities:

DOY 290 (10/17/05) No impact to operations from the network decommission of
unused router interfaces on the Closed IONet LAN (1500-1530z).

DOY 293 (10/20/05) Preparations for RIONet cable were performed in the ACE
MOC (1200-1600z).

Anomalies:

DOY 289 (10/16/05)  G05-0129  Acetlanpc Reset
At 0746z, the computer 'acetlanpc' reset for unknown reasons.
IMPACT:  DSN monitor data for Sunday was not saved.  FTP server did
successfully receive files for CD archiving.  FOT logged in Monday morning
and initialized SIMSS software.


DOY 289 (10/16/05)  G05-0130  Network Data Loss
Network data loss resulted in 10% data not reaching MOC for 20 minutes
(17:42:16-18:01:41z).  Data loss was randomly spaced (1-2 blocks each drop).

IMPACT:  Minimal.  Data was redumped during the support.  CDR file was not
affected by data loss.


DOY 290 (10/17/05)  G05-0131  DSS-27 Commercial Power Failure
Ground station experienced a complete electrical power failure at 18:10z.
TLM was reestablished at 18:40:33z, uplink at 18:42:19.  End of track was at
18:50:00z.  DR#G106179
IMPACT:  30 minute outage.  SSR playback and redumps had already been
completed.  Final state of health checks were not performed.


DOY 291 (10/18/05)  G05-0132  DSS-27 TLM/Uplink Lost
Ground station received alarm "AC27 328: CURRENT TIME AFTER LAST PRED
PT-ENTER ST." and lost TLM and Uplink at 17:23:23z.  Telemetry was restored
at 17:26:16, uplink at 17:29:30z.  DR#G106186
IMPACT:  6 minute outage.
