ACE Weekly 05/19/06 - 05/25/06

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally.

Orbit/Attitude:

No attitude maneuvers were completed this week.  The next attitude maneuver
is scheduled for Friday, 05/26/06.

Ongoing Activities:

Attitude Training - The FOT continues training on attitude determination,
maneuver planning, and maneuver execution.  The Attitude Peer Review has
been scheduled for 06/01/06.

DSN - The first Service Preparation Subsystem (SPS) Engineering Demo has
been scheduled for 05/31/2006.

RIONET - An ACE RIONET Transition Meeting was held on 05/24/06.  A licensing
issue with the firewalls needs to be resolved before the MOC can be
transitioned. 

Space Link Extension (SLE) - ACE SLE version 2.1 was delivered to the
Library on April 28, 2006.  The delivery to the ACE MOC will not occur until
after String 3 is converted to the RIONET.

Anomalies:

DOY 140 (05/20/06)  G06-0054  DSS-66 Incorrect Cmd Mod Index 
DSS-66 had the command mod index incorrectly set at 8.25 dB vice 1.69 dB for
the entire pass.  DR request submitted.
IMPACT: The spacecraft receiver AGC levels were dropping every time a
command was sent.  

DOY 140 (05/20/06)  S06-0006  S3DPU_I RH Limit Violation
S3DPU_I had 1 brief red high limit violation (RH >145 mA).  
	2006-139 17:23:37 - 17:24:09  156.8 mA.
Mark Popecki was notified.  
IMPACT: Unknown at this time.

DOY 142 (05/22/06)  G06-0055  DSS-66 Incorrect Cmd Mod Index 
DSS-66 had the command mod index incorrectly set at 0.44 dB vice 1.69 dB for
the entire pass.  DR M103705.
IMPACT: The first commands needed to be retransmitted multiple times.  

DOY 142 (05/22/06)  G06-0056  N/W Connection to Open Net (DDS) Down
The network connection to the ACE and XTE DDS was down for 1 hour and 10
minutes.  
IMPACT:  Automation notifications were not able to be sent out during this
time.
