ACE Weekly 01/12/2007 - 01/18/2007

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally.

OCRs:

DOY 016 (01/16/2007) GND-178
Automated operations (ROBOTT) is now configured to use the DSN schedule
provided by the SPS server.

DOY 012 (01/12/2007) 1801-1807z SIS-040
M1B GND strip # 32 was disabled and its threshold raised due to saturated
leakage current that caused oscillations in SIS RTSW data.

Step 7 of OCR SEP-110 to turn off internal stimulation still needs to be
scheduled.

Activities:

DOY 012 (01/12/2007) - SSR B Telemetry Sections downlinked. Single Bit
Error Count (SBE_CT_B) increased from 2118 to 3125 since last checked on
12/07/2006 (Reference AR S07-0001). No non-correctable errors (Hard Single
Bit Errors & Double Bit Errors) have occurred throughout the mission.

SSR A Telemetry Sections will be downlinked on Friday 01/19/2007.

RIONET - Testing and configuration of String 3 continues.
* FDF has updated their process for loading ephemeris files on the product
server for access to the RIONet. Work continues for putting the 28-day NOAA
ephemeris and maneuver command sheets on the product server.
* DSN has updated their destination address for CDR delivery to String 3,
but problems are still occurring. DSN is troubleshooting the problem as
time is available.
* The ROBOTT developer has started working on the patches to allow ROBOTT to
work with the RIONet.

Space Link Extension (SLE) - ACE SLE version 2.1 was delivered to the
Library on April 28, 2006. Installation in the ACE MOC will not occur until
after the MOC is converted to the RIONET.

Anomalies:

DOY 012 (01/12/2007) S-ACE-0147 (G07-0009) - Continue Before CMD Verified
Due to the timing of command verification, the procedure S_TLM_SECTIONS
proceeded to build the next command before the previous command was
verified. FOT intervention was required to step back in the procedure.
MOCR 1284 has been submitted to add additional wait statements for command
verification along with the wait for the telemetry update. S_TLM_SECTIONS
is used for downlinking additional SSR housekeeping data (e.g. Single Bit
Error Count).
IMPACT: Procedure required intervention to complete.

DOY 012 (01/12/2007) S-ACE-0148 (S07-0001) - Increase in SBE_CT_B
SSR B Single Bit Error Count (SBE_CT_B) increased from 2118 to 3125 since
last checked on DOY 341 (12/07/2006). Single Bit Errors are automatically
corrected by the SSR. This increase is very likely due to the solar flares
that had started on DOY 339 (12/05/2006). The following table gives a
history of the Single Bit Error count for SSR A and SSR B.
IMPACT: Minimal. Single Bit Errors are automatically corrected by the SSR
and occur infrequently.

SBE_CT_A SBE_CT_B
12/01/1999 15 09/06/2003 286
02/25/2003 30 09/22/2004 608
06/05/2003 270 11/15/2004 858
                      11/07/2006 2118
                      01/12/2007 3125

DOY 017 (01/17/2007) S-ACE-0149 (G07-0010) - AC2TAPS2 Frozen
ac2taps2 froze on Wednesday 01/17/2007 around 1700z. The linux workstation
was rebooted but generated errors. SysAdmins notified and the workstation
was restored on 01/18/2007. The 2 TAPS workstations store all mission data
for analysis and trending.
IMPACT: Minimal. ac1taps1 was operating with no problems. Mission data
copied from ac1taps1 to ac2taps2 after ac2taps2 was restored.
