ACE Weekly 03/09/2007 - 03/15/2007 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ============================================================================ Orbit/Attitude: No attitude maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Friday, 03/16/2007. Station-keeping maneuver #43 is scheduled for Thursday, 03/29/2007. ============================================================================ OCRs: None ============================================================================ Activities: No impacts to operations due to the new Daylight Saving Time have been found. All operational workstations and PCs had been set to GMT in 2004. RIONET * Testing and configuration of String 3 continues. * Additional firewall rules have been found that will need to be updated. * String 2 conversion is targeted for April 18, 2007. ROBOTT * Testing of the recent patch (v1.0.3) is nearing completion. This patch will allow ROBOTT to work with the RIONet (CDSID#22954 and #23091). Space Link Extension (SLE) - ACE SLE version 2.1 was delivered to the Library on April 28, 2006. Installation in the ACE MOC will not occur until after the MOC is converted to the RIONET. ============================================================================ Anomalies: DOY 070 03/11/2007 S-ACE-0157 G07-0018 ROBOTT/C&C Froze ROBOTT froze after procedure S_OPS_PLBK_COMPLETE completed (EOT-5minutes). RTMON restart not performed since 5 minutes before End of Track. CDSID#00021192 IMPACT: This is a recurring issue that the ROBOTT developers are aware of. Procedure G_ACEDOWN not performed. DOY 074 03/15/2007 S-ACE-0158 G07-0019 DSS-66 Bad Ground Receipt Time For DOY 073 and DOY 074, DSS-66 Ground Receipt Time (GRT) was incorrect, the value jumped around by +/- 2 seconds. DSN's CDR file was sorted by GRT, so the data was out of order. This prevented the ACE Science Center (ASC) from correctly processing the data (i.e. vc2->vc4 conversion). DOY 074 also had the additional problem that the GRT day was wrong (17971 instead of 17970) after switching to hi-rate. DR's N104208 and N104209. IMPACT: ASC was unable to create Level 0 products for DOY 072 and 073. VC2 data could be resorted by slice and virtual channel counter, but there is difficulty in the fact that the virtual channel counter rolls over after 255 and that redumps of the same slice would have to be excluded from the resort. Since the data sent to the MOC was not reordered by GRT, the FOT converted the TPOCC history files to the CDR format (96 bytes,block,2 byte pad,block,2 byte pad,block,2 byte pad......). The converted files were sent to ASC and they were able to successfully process that data. ACE's next DSS-66 pass is Saturday 03/17/2007 (DOY 076)
