ACE Weekly 04/20/2007 - 04/26/2007 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ============================================================================ Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Thursday, 05/10/2007. ============================================================================ OCRs: None ============================================================================ Activities: RIONET - Permission has been given to continue the String 2 conversion to the Restricted IONet. The HP OS will be addressed in a different forum. A new transition schedule will be developed in the next week. Space Link Extension (SLE) - ACE SLE version 2.1 was delivered to the Library on April 28, 2006. Installation in the ACE MOC will not occur until after the MOC is converted to the RIONET. An evaluation is ongoing to replace the TPOCC mission software and incorporate ACE operations into a multi-mission ops center. A decision between L3 INCNG and ITOS mission software is expected by the end of April. ============================================================================ Anomalies: DOY 111 04/21/2007 S-ACE-0171 G07-0030 TPOCC/OS Bitbucket Error The HPUX operating system occasionally returns a bitbucket error when the TPOCC software executes a unix program. The ROBOTT automation software is designed to continue through the error. Usually, this is not a problem, but on DOY 111 the procedure continued before the SSR redumps had been calculated. IMPACT: SSR redumps not performed during DOY 111 pass. However, SSR redumps were performed at the beginning of the next pass and all data was available on CDR. DOY 116 04/26/2007 S-ACE-0172 G07-0031 Workstation Unplugged A UPS/PDU circuit identification was being performed in the MOC. Workstation 1 on the String 2 was unintentionally unplugged. System administrator restored workstation later in day. IMPACT: Minimal. String 2 was not the designated backup in expectation of the RIONet transition. DOY 116 04/26/2007 S-ACE-0173 G07-0032 DSS-66 Antenna Stop At 1334z (44 minutes into pass) DSS-66 antenna stopped due to y-axis brake. Station was unable to release the brakes. DSS-65 was available and provided downlink from 1449-1600z. DSS-65, however, does not have S-Band uplink so no commanding was available. DSS-63 (70m) was available from 1700-1800z, but was not used since DSS-63 had never been used or tested with ACE. The next support has been increased by 20 minutes. SSR playback will be up-to-date in 2 days (Saturday DOY 118). IMPACT: 85 minute redump to be performed next support. No data to NOAA from 1334-1449z and 1600-1620z.
