ACE Weekly 06/01/2007 - 06/07/2007 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ============================================================================ Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Friday, 06/08/2007. Station-keeping maneuver #44 is scheduled for Thursday, 06/21/2007. ============================================================================ OCRs: None ============================================================================ Activities: RIONET - Testing on String 2 with the new ROBOTT installation continues. Configuration issues are being discovered and resolved. A network freeze is in effect for the upcoming shuttle mission. After the network freeze, the data flow to ASC and NOAA will transition to from the Closed IONet fanout to the Restricted IONet GMUG. Space Link Extension (SLE) - ACE SLE version 2.1 was delivered to the Library on April 28, 2006. Installation in the ACE MOC will not occur until after the MOC is converted to the RIONET. DSN/SPS/FDF - FDF is evaluating their ephemeris generation in response to the ongoing SPS problems with pass numbers and viewperiods. This impacts the ACE, SOHO, WIND and POLAR missions. The impact to ACE occurs more often since ACE has the shortest ephemeris files (59-day). The FDF evaluation is expected within the next few weeks. Planning continues for integrating ACE operations into a multi-mission ops center (MMOC). Upgrades of the MOC PCs will be performed in the upcoming week for IT Security compliance. ============================================================================ Anomalies: DOY 156 06/05/2007 S-ACE-0189 G07-0046 AC2PC1 Account Lost AC2PC1 is used for attitude maneuver planning. The acefdf account settings and desktop files were deleted when the account is logged off. The userenv.log contains error messages concerning the DeleteProfile error. The SysAdmins have backed up the computer and are troubleshooting the problem as time is available. Unknown if this is a hardware or software issue. IMPACT: The ongoing process improvement since the attitude transition has consolidated files on the PC so that no critical files were lost. However, ACE has never had a redundant system for attitude maneuver planning. DOY 157 06/06/2007 S-ACE-0190 G07-0047 AC2FE1A Display Failure The ground system string 2 front-end display failed. Hardware maintenance replaced the display and several reboots of the front-end were required to restore the workstation. IMPACT: Issues with string 2 are impeding the testing and configuring the transition to the Restricted IONet. DOY 158 06/07/2007 S-ACE-0191 G07-0048 DSS-27 Outage At 1700z, DSS-27 ground antenna stopped tracking. This is attributed to a station switch from commercial power to generator power. TLM and CMD was re-established at 1702z. At 1800z, TLM and CMD was again lost and restored at 1818z. IMPACT: A 20 minute redump of data will be performed on DOY 159 to capture missing playback data.
