Activities:

Space Link Extension (SLE) - The SLE/CMD software (v2.1) will be installed
Tuesday 08/21/2007. A test with DTF-21 (DSN Test Facility) will be
performed Wednesday 08/22/2007 at 1800z

Planning continues for integrating ACE operations into a multi-mission ops
center (MMOC). The current TPOCC mission software will be replaced by ITOS
and the ROBOTT automation software will be replaced by GMSEC tools (CAT,
GREAT, ANSR, etc). The timeline for when this will occur has not yet been
determined.

Anomalies:

DOY 216 08/04/2007 S-ACE-0215 G07-0069 DSS-27 Red (2 days)
DSS-27 was Red due to a failure of the Antenna Monitor and Control (AMC) (DR
G107919). Fortunately, time was available with DSS-24 later on DOY 216
(Saturday). The Ops Chief updated the DSN schedule, but since the ACE MOC
automation software only downloads the schedule 3 times a day, the FOT
needed to travel to the MOC (Saturday) to manually download the schedule.
DSS-27 was still red for DOY 217 (Sunday) and fortunately, time was again
available with DSS-24. For the Sunday pass, the DSN schedule was updated
early enough that the FOT did not need to come to the MOC.
IMPACT: Fortunately, time was available with DSS-24 and all data was
captured. FOT intervention necessary for the Saturday schedule change.

DOY 219 08/07/2007 S-ACE-0216 G07-0070 DSS-27 Red
DSS-27 was Red due to a failure of the Antenna Monitor and Control (AMC) (DR
G107937). Fortunately, some time was available with DSS-24 and SOHO was
able to release time with DSS-66.
IMPACT: It will take a couple of days to catch up on the playback data. We
expect to get all of the data, but if there are more DSN problems, we could
have some data loss.
