ACE Weekly 11/07/2007 - 11/13/2007 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ============================================================================ Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Thursday, 11/15/2007. ============================================================================ OCRs: None ============================================================================ Activities: Space Link Extension (SLE) Testing status (F-CLTU) Analysis of the previous tests showed that the DSN Ground Receipt Time was not correct during the 26m tests. DSN found that the new 26m Desktop configuration files were still not properly configured. The "Tag First Bit" parameter was incorrectly set to Enable and should have been set to Disable. The transition to F-CLTU SLE has been targeted for Thursday 11/29/2007. 34m HEF S-Band Transmitter Testing Status DSS-45 was tested Monday 11/12/2007. Telemetry was acquired at all 3 bit rates. The ACE MOC successfully binded and commanded to the spacecraft. However, the GSFC Metric Tracking Data Evaluation (MTDE) group found that the range data was invalid. The uplink signal strength measured by the spacecraft was Hi-Gain Antenna = -97 dBm BroadBeam Antenna = -111 dBm This signal strength is more than adequate and is comparable to DSS-27 (another 34m antenna with 200W transmitter). The following tests have been scheduled for upcoming weeks.
