ACE Weekly 07/16/2008 - 07/22/2008

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally.

============================================================================
Orbit/Attitude:

No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is
scheduled for Friday 07/25/2008.

OCRs:

None

Activities:

JPL ISO Router: JPL is running on one Restricted IONet router and continues
to work on troubleshooting the router problems that resulted in several lost
ACE passes in May (DOY 124-126 and DOY 134).

The Multi-Mission Ops Center (MMOC) will test sending ACE NO_OP commands to
DSN's Test Facility (DTF-21) on Wednesday 07/23/2008. This test will occur
at the same time as the ACE's operations pass with DSS-66.

Anomalies:

DOY 196 07/14/2008 S-ACE-0339 G08-0076 Incorrect Clock Calibration
The clock calibration did not have sufficient data when calculating DOY 196
and DOY 197. The resulting slope and offset were off slightly (< 1 second).
The problem was due to the raw clock data not successfully transferred
during the transition from string 2 to string 1. The data was recovered on
DOY 199. The correct clock calibration was calculated and sent to ASC and
NOAA.
IMPACT: The ACE Science Center had discarded the original DOY 196 and 197
clock calibration. The corrected values were accepted.

DOY 202 07/20/2008 S-ACE-0340 G08-0077 DSS-27 Power Failure
At 1615z, Goldstone experienced a complex wide power failure. Power was
restored within 3 minutes but several systems needed to be rebooted.
Telemetry and uplink were restored at 1727z, 3 minutes before End Of Track
(EOT). DR#G108724
IMPACT: 72 minute telemetry outage. No data to NOAA Space Weather. SSR
redump and state-of-health checks were performed on the following support.
All playback data was captured.
