ACE Weekly 09/24/2008 - 09/30/2008 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ============================================================================ Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were performed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Monday 10/13/2008. =========================================================================== OCRs: None ============================================================================ Activities: Data Capture: 99.84% DOY 265-272 2008 A 16min 25sec gap (267 20:37:03-20:53:27z) due to missed redumps. See AR#G08-0090. DOY 268 09/24/2008 - DSS-34 Return To Service Demo with SPS/TTC DSS-34 is returning to service after "Ka-Band Phase 2" (06/16/2008-10/27/2008). Also tested were the upgrades to the Service Provider Subsystem (SPS v1.2.0.1) and Tracking, Telemetry, and Command (TTC v8.1.4). No problems were uncovered during the 1-hour demo. ============================================================================ Anomalies: DOY 268 09/24/2008 S-ACE-0355 G08-0090 Redump Calculation Incorrect A problem with the FOT tool that calculates SSR redumps caused a data loss of 16min 25sec (DOY 267 20:37:03-20:53:27z). The current assessment is that a unix process died halfway through and the SSR write_point variable was set to zero. MOCR 1374 has been opened to handle this situation. ADC data is available starting at 20:51:12 but that only provides another 2min 15sec of data. IMPACT: Data capture for the week is 99.84%. DOY 264 09/20/2008 S-ACE-0356 G08-0091 Ephemeris For NOAA Incorrect The FDF ephemeris delivered to NOAA on 09/11/2008 did not extend 28 days as expected. A new ephemeris was generated on 09/22/2008 but started in 2009. A new ephemeris was generated on 09/24/2008 which covered the correct time range. IMPACT: Minimal. NOAA stations were still able to track ACE.
