ACE Weekly 04/01/2009 - 04/07/2009

All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally.

No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver is
scheduled for Tuesday 04/14/2009.

Activities:

Data Capture: 100% DOY 088-095 2009

========================================================================
Anomalies:

DOY 092 04/02/2009 S-ACE-0424 G09-0019 FORMATS Stopped Processing
The FORMATS software is used for sending ACE clock and attitude reports
to the ACE Science Center and NOAA Space Weather. On DOY 092, the
software stopped processing files. The software was restarted on Sunday
DOY 095 and several reports were sent. However, the clock reports for
DOY 091 and 092 were not transmitted until they were re-copied to the
FormatsIn directory on Monday DOY 096.
IMPACT: Clock and attitude reports delayed to ASC and NOAA.

DOY 094 04/04/2009 S-ACE-0425 G09-0020 ROBOTT Color Allocation
The HP-UX workstations have a limited number of colors that can be
displayed. If other windows are open, the automation software (ROBOTT)
may not start (CDSID 21070 -- FOT Known ROBOTT Issue #3). ROBOTT C&C
(Command & Control) was unable to start on Saturday DOY 094 due to the
ROBOTT log window being open. The Real-Time Monitor restarted C&C, but
that was not successful. The Real-Time Monitor then restarted all of
the software and C&C was able to start. This last occurred 08/11/2006
(AR#G06-0075).
IMPACT: FOT went to the MOC on DOY 094 to investigate the software
problems and ensured that the software was working properly for Sunday
DOY 095.

DOY 096 04/06/2009 S-ACE-0426 G09-0021 DSS-27 Ranging Calibration
DSS-27 was unable to perform PreCal or PostCal ranging calibration for
the pass on DOY 096.
IMPACT: Minimal. Currently, ACE is at the position in the L1 orbit
where attitude maneuvers are performed every ~3 weeks. There are 28
other ranging passes between the maneuvers on 03/24/2009 and 04/14/2009
