ACE Weekly 08/12/2009 - 08/18/2009 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: Type Attitude Date 08/17/2009 DOY 229 2009 Thrusters 2R 4R+ 4R- Duration 12:16 min Start 15:42:36z Stop 15:54:52z HGAStart -4.55deg HGAStop +7.70deg SunStart 4.81deg SunStop 14.82deg SpinStart 5.0288rpm SpinStop 5.0320rpm Nutation 0.07deg Firing 62 pulses FuelUsed 0.2006lbs FuelRemain 141.2184lbs FinalSCMass 1375.479lbs The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Friday 09/04/2009. ======================================================================= OCRs: None ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 221-228 2009 There is no pass on Friday 08/21/2009 (DOY 233) and 2 passes scheduled for Saturday 08/22/2009 (DOY 234). No data loss is expected. ======================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 224 08/12/2009 S-ACE-0456 G09-0049 Network Data Loss The ACE MOC experienced 0.2% telemetry data loss. JPL Comm and Goddard Comm Control notified. The problem was not resolved before the end of the pass. Impact: Minimal. All data was available from the DSN's CDR (Central Data Recorder). Note that a 0.2% random data loss corresponds to a ~25% loss of complete major frames. DOY 224 08/12/2009 S-ACE-0457 G09-0050 Hostname Error After the transition from the ISIS network software (11/2002), the network for the front-end processors was simplified and the "backplane" IP addresses were removed. During a network scan, it was discovered that the backplane addresses were still defined in the hosts file and were removed. TPOCC, however, still looked for the backplane and generated errors when the backplane address could not be resolved. This had no impact on operations other than to generate errors. The backplane was reinstated in the hosts file with the ACE MOC's current addresses. Impact: Minimal. No impact other than TPOCC error messages in the event log.
