ACE Weekly 01/27/2010 - 02/02/2010 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were completed this week. The next attitude maneuver and SK-53 are scheduled for Thursday 02/11/2010. ======================================================================= OCRs: None ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 024-031 2010 The start of operational testing in the MMOC is scheduled for Tuesday 02/16/2010 (DOY 047). All passes starting with DOY 047 will be taken from the MMOC. If there are significant problems, operations would switch back to the old MOC and DSN will be able to reload the configuration tables for the next day's pass. The Operations Readiness Review (ORR) is scheduled for 03/31/2010. ======================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 029 01/29/2010 S-ACE-0480 G10-0003 AC2PC1 Hard Drive Failure The AC2PC1 hard drive failed and is not expected to be recoverable. AC2PC1 is used for attitude maneuver planning and ephemeris retrieval. ACETLANPC is the backup. With the upcoming transition to the MMOC, there is no need to replace AC2PC1. IMPACT: Minimal. AC2PC1 was last backed up in September 2009. There have been 10 attitude maneuvers since then. The maneuver command sheets (*.cmd) are saved in other places, but other files are not (*.lst, *.pri, etc). The other maneuver planning files are not currently used for anything else, so there is no impact for having lost the past 10. DOY 032 02/01/2010 S-ACE-0481 G10-0004 DSS-27 Receiver Problems The ground station had difficulty locking onto the downlink after establishing the uplink. The station switched to a different DCC/RRP (Downlink Channel Controller/Receiver & Ranging Processor) and was able to lock onto the downlink. DR#G109992 IMPACT: Activities delayed 12 minutes.
