ACE Weekly 03/31/2010 - 04/06/2010 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: Type Attitude Date 03/31/2010 DOY 090 2010 Thrusters 2R 4R+ 4R- Duration 14:56 min Start 14:28:59z Stop 14:43:55z HGAStart -6.65deg HGAStop 7.90deg SunStart 15.43deg SunStop 5.88deg SpinStart 5.0518rpm SpinStop 5.0539rpm Nutation 0.03deg Firing 76 pulses The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Friday 04/16/2010. ======================================================================= OCRs: DOY 098 (04/08/2010) MMOC-0129 DSN Time Tag First Bit Since launch, DSN had been time tagging the last bit of ACE telemetry frames for the Earth Receipt Time (aka Ground Receipt Time). To be consistent with the SLE protocol, DSN will be using a new table (FB161) that will tag the first bit of each telemetry frame (starting Thursday 04/08/2010). The delays used for calculating the clock calibration have been adjusted appropriately. There will be no change in the clock reports sent to the ACE Science Center (ASC) or NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 094-101 2010 ======================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 096 04/06/2010 S-ACE-0496 G10-0019 ITOS tlmClient Memory Leak The ITOS developers had known about a memory leak with tlmClient in ITOS 803-3. It had not, however, been seen with ACE or WIND. It appeared for the first time on DOY 096. Oddly, it only affected the real-time data stream, not the playback data stream. The real-time tlmClient was restarted each time it died; 8 times during the 3.5 hour pass. The ITOS developers have fixed the problem in ITOS 804-7. The FOT is reviewing the software for delivery. IMPACT: Manual intervention required to reconnect ITOS to the real-time data stream.
