ACE Weekly 07/26/2011 - 08/01/2011 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing nominally. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: No maneuvers were performed this week. The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Wednesday 08/03/2011. ======================================================================= OCRs: None ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 205-212 2011 The GRAIL mission is expected to launch 09/08/2011. ACE has reduced DSN antenna time during September. The current schedule has ACE losing ~15% data over 3 weeks in September. The data loss will be greater if there are problems with any of the passes. NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) server was unable to process the high-rate real-time data (1 frame per second) from the MMOC on Tuesday 07/26/2011 and Wednesday 07/27/2011. NOAA SWPC rebooted their server on Wednesday and was able to process MMOC real-time data. ======================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 212 07/31/2011 S-ACE-0622 G11-0049 Empty Clock Calibration The MMOC tool ace_clock_report did not complete on DOY 206, 207 and 212. ITOS was restarted on DOY 208 and ace_clock_report worked successfully from DOY 208 through DOY 211. ITOS was restarted again on DOY 212. This is the same problem that occurred from 01/13/2011 through 01/15/2011 (SOAR S-ACE-0578 G11-0006). ace_clock_report worked successfully when started from a terminal window, but did not work when started from ITOS. It is unknown what is happening to ITOS that causes ace_clock_report to not complete, but an ITOS restart solves the problem. IMPACT: Clock reports for DOY 206, 207 and 212 manually regenerated.
