ACE Weekly 11/06/2013 - 11/12/2013 All ACE spacecraft subsystems are performing as expected. ======================================================================== Orbit/Attitude: Type Attitude Date 11/12/2013 DOY 316 2013 Thrusters 2R 4R+ 4R- Duration 9:12 min Start 17:44:33z Stop 17:53:45z HGAStart -8.69 deg HGAStop +8.98 deg SunStart 8.42 deg SunStop 15.02 deg SpinStart 4.9691 rpm SpinStop 4.9713 rpm Nutation 0.12 deg Firing 46 pulses FuelUsed 0.1475 lbm FuelRemain 110.5348 lbm FinalSCMass 1344.795 lbm The next attitude maneuver is scheduled for Monday 11/18/2013. ACE crossed the ecliptic plane on 11/6/2013. The previous maneuver (11/5/2013) had been larger (88 pulses 0.2658lbm) as the spacecraft was turned from pointing -7degrees below the ecliptic plane to +8 degrees above the ecliptic plane. We have again avoided a dog-leg maneuver (last occurrence 9/2/2008). Dog-leg maneuvers are needed when the sun-pulse and thruster firing would occur at the same time, which happens at a particular corner of the L1 orbit. We anticipate executing one or more dog-leg maneuvers every 6-months starting May 2014. (Refer to 4/30/2013 weekly report for a further description of dog-leg maneuvers.) ======================================================================== OCRs: None ======================================================================== Activities: Data Capture: 100% DOY 307-314 2013 ======================================================================== Anomalies: DOY 312 11/08/2013 S-ACE-0635 G11-0061 No Telemetry from MUS The MMOC SLE software (Multi-User SLE, MUS) was not sending RT telemetry to ITOS or ace_data_fwd. This problem does not occur often (last time 01/08/2012). There are no messages in the event log for this problem and no automatic recovery programmed into the system. IMPACT: Manual intervention required. Activities delayed 16 minutes.
