Note:
Based on a preliminary review of maneuver performance records, the
-7.9% deviation observed for this weeks maneuver is slightly higher than
average, but the assumed main source of the error is attributed to the
relatively small size of the burn (only 21 pulses).

The FOT is in the process of performing an analysis to confirm the
aforementioned assumption (i.e., maneuver performance is a function of
the burn size). In addition, a maneuver historical performance analysis
(pre/post-tank anomaly) is also underway to more confidently assess when
a maneuver result is in-family or not with previously-observed
performance.

Results from the above work will be shared in the near future with the rest
of the Team (on this forum).

Next attitude maneuver: Tuesday, 11/24/2015

Anomalies:

SOAR S-ACE-35: DSN Problem - Madrid Complex (Re-occurring) (DR # M109076)

A very weak power output was observed for the S-band 250 Watt transmitter
(approx. 70 Watts) during the 2015-315-14:05 (UT) - 2015-315-16:35 (UT)
time frame (150 minutes).

During the initial troubleshooting performed in conjunction with the MMOC
FOT, multiple antenna re-sweeps were performed unsuccessfully, as the Team
was ruling out an uplink carrier frequency or pointing problem. But the FOT
had ascertain that the ACE S/C configuration was correct.

Ultimately, although the S/C receiver AGC levels were fluctuating between
yellow/red limit strength levels (up-to -130 dB), the signal was strong
enough at times during the early part of the contact to perform all the
routine necessary commanding steps up-to the playback of SSR-A (i.e, final
SSR configuration checks and SSR re-dumps were not performed). And downlink
carrier capabilities were available until the end of the contact, except
for the telemetry losses observed during the antenna re-sweep operations.

IMPACT:
Minimal - FOT worked closely with D-65 operations personnel to troubleshoot
the problem. End of pass commanding activities were not performed - SSR
re-dumps were performed during the next support.
