The next ACE Team meeting is to be held October 16 - 17, 2018, at JHU/APL, Laurel MD.
The conference room reserved is:

• Building 200, Room E-273.

Please register online, so we can get a head-count for the reception, refreshments, etc.
Foreign Nationals (anyone not a US citizen or permanent resident): please contact Kimberly Morgan to arrange security clearance.

The deadline for registration is Friday October 5 2018, 5PM Eastern time.

The meeting will be outside the secure area of the building.

Wireless access to the internet will be available in the conference rooms. Morning and afternoon snacks/refreshments/coffee will be provided.
Attendees can buy light lunches in Bldg 200 cafeteria downstairs. Also in the Main APL Cafeteria across Johns Hopkins Road, or restaurants down the road.

There will be coffee and some breakfast snacks available at 8:00 am each morning.

A convenient hotel, a short distance from APL, is the
Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbia/Laurel. Call the hotel directly (Phone: 240-360-2725) and ask for the $107 "JHU/APL: ACE" rate. The cutoff date for this special rate is Sept. 15, 2018.

In the past, folks have found that the
Hampton Inn Columbia also has a good rate. Ask for the JHU/APL rate. Phone: 410-997-8555

Driving instructions: Approaching Building 200 westbound on Johns Hopkins Road

• Route 29 from the South: Go 270 deg (west) around the traffic circle at the top of the exit and get in the Left lane.
• Route 29 from the North: Going uphill to the Johns Hopkins exit, get into the Right lane. Stay in that lane. Do not move into the additional right lane that opens up as you make the turn (west) onto Johns Hopkins Road.
• After the traffic light at Montpelier Road and Johns Hopkins Road, move into the Left-most lane on Johns Hopkins Rd. You will first pass the pond on your right and then see our 5-story Bldg 200 on your left.
• You will see the new parking lot as you enter off of Johns Hopkins Road, but paving/marking is still not finished, so it will NOT be open for parking.
• Attendees arriving before 8am either day should have no difficulties finding parking spaces on the building level (there are many more spaces on the west side than the east side). They may park in any unmarked space, and also those marked either "Visitor" or "Open". After 8:30 these will fill up, and they'll have to follow the road on the west side of Bldg 200 around the back of the construction site (Iof Bldg 201) to the lower lot (where there's always plenty of parking places). Access by foot back up to the building level is via stairs in the NW corner of the lower lot. It's about a 5 minute walk from there to Bldg 200.
• The entrance lobby to Bldg 200 is on the South side (opposite from Johns Hopkins Road), under the glassed-in curved windows of the 2nd floor projection.
