SAMPEX polarcap-averaged rates
This directory carries the polarcap-averaged rates from all energy/mass channels from each of the four instruments; data from each polarcap pass are aggregated as monthly files.
Caution: the Principal Investigator should be contacted by those who wish to convert these rates into fluxes.
"Polarcap" is defined as the region poleward of the geomagnetic latitudes +/- 70 deg. Typically there will be about 26 polarcap passages/day.
These data are the same data as originally submitted to the NSSDC by the SAMPEX team.
The format and other documentation are available in The SAMPEX Level 2 Data Products NSSDC Submission Description
